Over 500 migrants in Gujarat’s Rajkot were scheduled to head back to their home states, but the lack of arrangements made them angry, following which they resorted to violence.
Upset over not being able to go back home, several migrants created ruckus and vandalised vehicles on Rajkot’s Shapar-Veraval highway in Gujarat on Sunday.

Police personnel including Rajkot SP Balram Meena and several journalists were injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, migrants from Bihar are protesting against their state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Centre. They are marching towards the city from Ambala highway with lathis and rods in their hands.
A heavy police force was deployed in the area.
At the same, migrants on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway protest against police when stopped from proceeding further.
