The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) issued a notice to the Delhi Police on Wednesday after photos of several Muslim women were uploaded without their consent on an app using GitHub by the name of ‘Sulli Deals’ on July 4.
Reportedly, Sulli is a derogatory term used to refer to Muslim women.

The app came to light after people started sharing their pictures with the term ‘Sulli deal of the day’ on Twitter. Many women had to leave social media platforms after their images got circulated, the notice further added.
The notice mentioned that a suo motu cognizance has been taken and the Delhi police has been asked to provide a copy of the First Information Report (FIR) and a detailed report on the action taken in relation to the matter by July 14.
