Kanpur District level meeting of Muslim Students Organization of India (MSO) was held in Roshan Nagar of the city in which the students and youth of the district took part. The program was inaugurated by Maulana Syed Noor Alam Misbahi, former president of the organization, who came from Aligarh Muslim University, and told that the MSO is running a morality campaign among students in schools, colleges and universities to eradicate the evil that is developing among the students and the student power can be utilized in the interest of society and the country.
Misbahi called upon the youth to generalize the much acclaimed and prevalent ideology of Sufism and said that the students should use their skills and strength in the best interest of the country and contribute towards making India a developed and educated country. Students should take a pledge to remove the evils that are developing in the society. He said that Muslim youth will have to come forward in the field of education, only then the pitiable condition of Muslim society can be dealt with.
Muhammad Saqib Barkati, a member of the National Executive from Delhi and Secretary General of Delhi Unit, constituted the district executive by consensus, wherein Maulana Nazar was elected district president, Mohammad Faisal as general secretary, Moin Ali Rizvi as treasurer, Suhail Ahmad and Adil Barkati were elected as Vice-Presidents, Shafiq Barkati and Zeeshan Azhari as Joint Secretaries and Arif Raza as Campus Secretary. 7 members were also nominated in district executive.
In his address, Saqib Barkati said that the future is formed by the youth and students, it is from their execution that the condition and direction of the society and the country is determined, so the Students should create a culture inside them along with education and walk on the path of Sufia -e-Kiram and give others a party to follow the same path, this is the path of peace and brotherhood. He said that Muslim youth should wholeheartedly advocate Islam wherever they are and allow others to follow it, and the youth should remove the moral degradation in the society.
