A “SpiceJet flight” caught “fire” at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport of Dhaka on Friday morning. According to The Daily Star, the passengers and the crew were evacuated safely.
According to the report, the incident took place at 10.40 am when the flight was heading towards the runway from the taxiway for a takeoff. The Kolkata-bound flight had 74 passengers on-board.
The report, citing an airport official said that the matter was being examined. It is learnt that the flight’s nosewheel caught fire and firefighters were rushed to the spot to douse the same.
The passengers and the crew were lodged at the airport. The services were disrupted for about an hour following the incident.
