Gandhi and Maulana Azad were Pillars of India’s freedom movement: MSO


New Delhi. On 72nd Independence Day MSO organised a Speech program on contribution of MK Gandhi and Maulana Azad in India’s freedom struggle here in Shastri Park Delhi. More than 50 Students from Madarsas and public school participated in program.

Mufti Ashfaq were chief guest of the event, he said that Gandhi ji and Azad was an important pillar of freedom struggles and statesman par excellence, both continues to inspire us, he added.  Azad an academician and freedom fighter, laid the foundation for educated India. He was also a recipient of “Bharat Ratna”, the highest civilian honour.  He said India’s freedom struggle would not have got the impetus it did in the forties if it was not for the Quit India Movement that was launched in 1942 by MK Gandhi.

Imran Misbahi, President of Shastri Park Unit of MSO told that there were 52 students participated in the program, top ten were awarded by the Medal and remaining were honoured by Certificates. In his address he recalled the contributions of the great leaders of freedom struggle and people of India and stressed on issues like partnership between citizens and government, individual and society, and spirit of empathy and social service. The participation of citizens and government is essential for full implementation of government’s ambitious programs such as Swachchh Bharat, Digital India, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao scheme.
