Stones pelted at ex-Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu during public meeting in Tirupati

Stones were allegedly pelted while former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Chandrababu Naidu was addressing a public meeting in Tirupati, where by-election is slated to take place on April 17.

Stones were allegedly pelted at former Andhra Pradesh chief minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Chandrababu Naidu on Monday while he was addressing a public meeting in Tirupati.

The former Andhra Pradesh chief minister was campaigning for the upcoming by-election to Tirupati parliamentary constituency that is slated for April 17.

A TDP worker reportedly suffered injuries in the incident.

Chandrababu Naidu got off the stage and sat on a dharna with party workers on the road in protest against the incident.

According to reports, Naidu asked the police as to how they will protect the common people if they fail to give protection to him despite him having Z-plus security cover.
