The former Andhra Pradesh chief minister was campaigning for the upcoming by-election to Tirupati parliamentary constituency that is slated for April 17.
A TDP worker reportedly suffered injuries in the incident.
Chandrababu Naidu got off the stage and sat on a dharna with party workers on the road in protest against the incident.
According to reports, Naidu asked the police as to how they will protect the common people if they fail to give protection to him despite him having Z-plus security cover.
